After the heartbreaking events of the Boston Marathon in 2013, we are proud to raise funds and awareness for Boston's First Responders. The crucial and invaluable role they played when our beloved city found itself the most vulnerable can never truly be measured. Their efforts and devotion are unparalleled as they ran towards chaos and danger, rescuing those near the explosions.
Therefore, it is humbling to be able to take the opportunity to help support their efforts, in addition to our traditional annual partnership with the Burn Foundation, we will be supporting our local heroes as they work to mitigate risk of future tragedy.
The close partnership between the Firemen at the 718 House on Boylston St. and the members of the First Responders made this partnership not only incredibly valuable, but seamless, simple and effective.
The Boston Firefighters Burn Foundation
The Boston Firefighters Burn Foundation (BFBF) is a local, recently founded group comprised of firefighters from the 718 Fire Department in Boston who volunteer their time to further aid burn victims after they have been rescued.
The mission of the the BFBF is "to ease the suffering and hardships of burn victims and their families." We highly encourage you to watch the video to the left (below) to learn more about the efforts and goals of the BFBF.
This small local group has enjoyed both tremendous growth and support. They have been able to support victims by providing lodging, clothing, meals, travel expenses, rent payments among other amenities. They officially started in July of 2003, with the recognition from the state of Massachusetts, as a "non-profit" 501 (c) 3 organization.
